about us
Where Community Takes Center Stage.
Our cabarets put Sheboygan’s own in the spotlight, raising voices and raising funds all in one show.
Here, the spotlight isn’t just on the performers,
it’s on the entire community.
the mission
Launched in March 2025, Community Playlist is a volunteer-driven cabaret series that brings together people from across the Sheboygan community, of all professions, backgrounds, ages, and levels of performance experience, to share their talents and stories onstage. Built around an intentionally limited rehearsal model, the program creates an accessible and flexible opportunity for participants without the time commitment of a traditional production. Each themed performance pairs entertainment with purpose, raising funds and awareness for local nonprofit organizations and arts education initiatives. Through Community Playlist, the Sheboygan Performing Arts Foundation creates space for individuals to connect, audiences to gather, and community organizations to benefit, strengthening the performing arts through collaboration, accessibility, and a shared sense of community.

Mags was born and raised in Sheboygan County, and after finishing college out of state, she did what she thought she'd never do: she moved back. Doing so has led to the most fulfilling and rewarding journey of her life thus far. Her experience with event planning began 10+ years ago, and has remained rooted in the commitment of bringing people together. To foster community and inclusion. Collaborating on Community Playlist Cabarets has been an absolute joy.

Michael Kraig Beeck | Artistic Director | Founder
Michael is a local musician who grew up in Sheboygan and is a proud product of the city’s arts programming. After benefiting from these opportunities, he went on to travel the world as a bassist for touring Broadway musicals, sharing stages with diverse audiences across the globe. Community Playlist and the Sheboygan Performing Arts Foundation now exist as his way of giving back, creating opportunities for future musicians to follow their dreams and achieve their goals, just as he once did.
