NEW YEAR. NEW PLAYLIST. SAME COMMUNITY.

We’re getting a little ahead of ourselves, but we just couldn’t keep this one on shuffle any longer…

Community Playlist is thrilled to announce our 2027 season!

Six shows. Six opportunities to gather. Six reasons to hand the microphone to our community and use music to make a little noise for organizations doing some pretty incredible work throughout Sheboygan County.

FEBRUARY 10 | THE PRIDE MIXTAPE a consciously queer cabaret.

We’re kicking off 2027 by continuing our relationship with the Sheboygan County LGBTQ Alliance. Celebrating queer artists, queer songs, queer stories, and the importance of continuing to create spaces where people can show up exactly as they are.

Funds raised will help to continue sponsoring the stage at the annual Pride Picnic at City Green in June, helping make sure there is quite literally a stage for our community to be seen, heard, and celebrated.

Queer joy. Queer voices. Queer art.

APRIL 14 | KEEP THE RECORD SPINNING

Some songs are oldies. Some are classics. And some of us simply remember when they were new.

This evening will benefit the newly founded, volunteer-powered Janet L. Herrick Dementia Friendly Choir at Uptown Social. Celebrating music’s remarkable ability to connect us across generations, experiences, and memories.

Dusting off the records, flipping over the 8-tracks, and making room onstage for performers who know that talent doesn’t come with an expiration date.

If you’ve still got it, we’ve still got a microphone.

JUNE 9 | SOULFUL SOUNDS

Soulful Sounds will benefit Sheboygan Black-American Community Outreach (BACO) and celebrate music shaped by Black artists, voices, experiences, and culture.

Through music that inspires, evokes, challenges, comforts, and moves us, we hope to create an evening that celebrates cultural diversity while bringing people together through something that has always had the power to cross boundaries.

AUGUST 11 | COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES

There has never been just one right way to make art. and we think that deserves celebrating.

Color Outside the Lines will support youth arts programming at The Sheboygan Collective, helping expand existing opportunities, provide additional art supplies, and create scholarships so more young people can explore what happens when they're given the tools to get creative.

This performance also comes with a very special thank-you to Whitney Morales for the many ways she has supported the Sheboygan Performing Arts Foundation and Community Playlist.

This August, we’re handing our young artists a bigger box of crayons.

OCTOBER 13 | THERE’S ALWAYS ROOM

As the temperatures begin to fall, we're using our October stage to support neighbors who need a safe, warm place to land.

There’s Always Room will benefit the Sheboygan County Warming Center and Café, supporting the people and resources necessary to provide shelter, warmth, meals, hospitality, and dignity to individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity in our community.

Sometimes community means simply making room at the table.

DECEMBER | THE ANNUAL HOLIDAY HOOTENANNY

Oh, you thought one Hootenanny was enough? Absolutely not.

Our annual Holiday Hootenanny returns in December 2027 to close out the season with all the music, merriment, questionable holiday choices, and Community Playlist shenanigans you've come to expect.

We'll keep the rest wrapped up for now. More on that one next year.

From queer voices and well-loved records, to soulful sounds, young artists, neighbors in need, and a little holiday chaos, 2027 is shaping up to be one heck of a Playlist.

At its heart, Community Playlist remains what it has always been: local people sharing a stage, sharing the songs they love, and using them to support the community we call home.

Different voices. Different stories. Different generations.

One community. One stage. One heck of a Playlist.

Where Community Takes Center Stage.
